It seems one of my favorite ways to express my unique journey in life is through body art. With the help of @akashicink, we designed this beautiful, delicate, spiritual work of art and I’m in love with it.
In the center of the design is a 𝕌𝕟𝕒𝕝𝕠𝕞𝕖, which is rooted in Buddhist culture and a sacred visual representation of the journey to enlightenment, or generally speaking, the path of life.
The base spiral symbolizes the starting point; the beginning of your spiritual awakening.
The squiggly spirals that create the majority of the image symbolizes the path that life has taken as one reaches Enlightenment.
Typically, at the top of the Unalome are dots, which symbolize reaching the point of freedom…but I felt the wide-open heart was a much better depiction of my freedom. 🤍
Above and below the Unalome are beautiful, delicate branches and swirls…because the path that got me here and where I’m going wasn’t and won’t always be clearly defined, but I’m confident it’s going to be based on my intentions and of my creation. 🤍
