You are alive because life energy is flowing through you. 
In your body, life energy flows through pathways called chakras (spinning energy centers that receive/express energy and emotion), and meridians or nadis (pathways in which energy travels). Energy also flows around you in a field called the aura.

The free and balanced flow of healthy energy equates to well-being; and nourishes the organs and cells of the body, supporting them vitally. 

But when the balanced flow of healthy energy is disrupted or “blocked”, it can negatively impact the functionality of your organs and tissues.  This disruption or blockage can manifest emotionally (anxiety, detachment, anger, jealousy, sadness, mental fog) , and even physically (physical pain, constipation, digestion issues, headaches).

Do I have energetic blocks?

Energy is responsive to thoughts (and your thoughts are the catalyst for your feelings). When you believe positive thoughts and are aligned with who you truly are, it is conducive to a more natural flow of our energy, and you feel better; you feel FREE.

If you are living a life that feels disconnected and you’re experiencing inner conflict, it’s likely that healthy life energy is not flowing through you as freely and vibrantly as it could.

If you believe negative thoughts (or even if you try to believe your positive thoughts but don’t really buy into what you are telling yourself), the thoughts become stuck in the subconscious mind and create a permanent disruption in the flow of healthy energy.  This can leave you feeling potentially sad, stuck, anxious, guilty, detached or angry (or all these things).  If the blockage is not released, this unhealthy energy can attach itself to the organs and tissues of the body, creating further blockage.

How do I clear my energetic blocks?

To reduce the pain, emotional stress and “stuckness” that results from energetic  blocks, I love and encourage the use of Reiki in conjunction with coaching.  Your mind, body and spirit are all hard-wired, so when we use tools or methods that compliment one another, the healing becomes more holistic.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese healing art used for stress reduction and relaxation. As a Reiki Master, I use gentle touch as I lay my hands on you.  By means of touch, I act as a conduit between you and the source of universal life energy to activate natural healing processes and restore physical and emotional well-being.

Best explained, I am allowing my mind, body and spirit to act as a channel so that unconditional love can flow from a universal source to you, so that you can feel more balanced, relaxed and peaceful.

How does Reiki help me?

Because Reiki is guided by spiritual consciousness, it can never do harm; it is always helpful and safe.  When you receive Reiki, the spiritually conscious part of the energy finds where your unhealthy energy (or energetic block) is, and then directs the healing energy.  As the healing energy is able to reduce or remove the energetic blockage, healthy energy is able to begin flowing more freely again.

What happens during a Reiki Session?

During a reiki session, you will lay down on a table (similar to a massage table) in a safe and peaceful environment.  Your have two responsibilities during the session:

  • Allow yourself to let go of any tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings and
  • Allow yourself to be open to the peace and well being that comes from the healthy flow of universal life energy. 

What should I expect after the session?

All clients I’ve worked with feel better after a reiki session.  Some people feel very relaxed and a bit tired while others feel energized and excited. While everyone’s experience is  different, clients describe their experiences as follows:
